Terms and Conditions
1. Events
1.1 Bookings
Bookings can only be made on our site by completing an online payment. A confirmation will be sent to you by email.
If you do not receive this confirmation email the booking is not registered and you should either try again, or get in touch via hello@survivethez.com. Note: the confirmation email could end up in your spam folder.
1.2 Changes and refunds
For cancellations or changes, send an email hello@survivethez.com requesting the cancellation or change. If we receive you request:
- For cancellations or changes 7 days before the event, we refund 50% of the booking price.
- Cancellations or changes less than 7 days before starting time, refunds are no longer possible.
In case of a (partial) refund, we can provide a voucher. Refunds can also be made towards your original payment method, it may take up to 3 business days until the (partial) refund is processed.
Survive the Z retains the right to cancel or change any event up to 24 hours before the event. In case Survive the Z has to cancel (with the exception of force majeur) the full amount will be refunded within 30 days.
Survive the Z is not liable for cancellations or delays caused by:
- Natural disasters, extreme weather, or government restrictions.
- Pandemics, strikes, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
If an event is canceled due to force majeure, we will attempt to reschedule but are not obligated to provide refunds.
1.3 The Experience
By participating in Survive the Z, you acknowledge that this is not an everyday activity but an immersive and exciting game experience. While the game is designed to be inclusive and suitable for most participants, including pregnant individuals and those aged 65 and above, participation is entirely at your own risk.
We strongly encourage you to assess your own personal circumstances and consult with a medical professional if you have any concerns. Survive the Z cannot accept liability for any injuries, lost items or accidents that may occur during participation.
1.4 Age
- Under 16: Not allowed to participate.
- We recommend the presence of an adult accompanying players between the ages of 16 and 18. Otherwise, these persons will have to show an authorization signed by a responsible adult at check-in.
1.5 Language
Due to the exclusivity of the events, the theatrical scenes and test instructions will be in English in order to include the international community. Although it is not strictly necessary, we recommend having an intermediate level of English to live the full experience or attend the event with someone who can translate.
1.6 Confidentiality
The magic of the event lies in solving the tests and completing the challenges yourself. Share the thrill of your experience with friends, but please, no spoilers or secret reveals! Let them enjoy the same excitement you did.
1.7 Monitoring
All events may be monitored and recorded audiovisually. Survive the Z may use the material for analysis or marketing purposes. If you wish to not be recorded, or retro-actively want to have any material erased, ask your host upon arrival, or request it through a short email at hello@survivethez.com.
1.8 Code of Conduct
At Survive the Z, your safety and that of our hosts is our priority. Our hosts guide your experience, and actors will be part of the game. We monitor all events to assist with clues and ensure safety. It's your own responsibility to have a sharp, sober and positive team, even on weekends at midnight. Any behavior (physical or verbal) deemed threatening or inappropriate by our hosts will not be tolerated.
Zero-Tolerance Policy: Failure to follow our Code of Conduct (see Rules) will result in immediate termination of the game, without compensation. If deemed necessesary, we will report irregularities to the police, take legal action and/or claim damages.
Hosts are expected to terminate the game if one or more players:
- Are suspected of drug or alcohol use.
- Display aggressive or threatening behavior among each other or towards hosts or actors.
- Utter sexually charged, threatening, discriminatory, or racist gestures or remarks.
- Make the host or actor feel unsafe.
Players are expected to:
- Follow all instructions given by the hosts.
- Do not touch or physically obstruct the hosts or the zombies.
- Maintain a positive atmosphere.
- Handle room items with care.
1.8.1 Game Termination & Disputes
If your game was terminated, and you feel this is an incorrect decision, do not confront or argue with the host. Instead, contact us at hello@survivethez.com or call us.
1.8.2. Alcohol & Drug Policy
Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol is strictly prohibited.
1.9 Intellectual Property
Survive the Z name, logo, and content are protected. Event recordings, scripts, designs, and puzzles are owned by Survive the Z. Unauthorized use, copying, or distribution is prohibited.

3. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
Any disputes, claims, or concerns related to Survive the Z must first be submitted via hello@survivethez.com before any legal action is taken. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes amicably.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any legal disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be exclusively handled in the competent courts of Amsterdam.
